The mantra of the vote suppressors must be "if you can't beat 'em," John, "just try and get their votes thrown out". By waiting until after Election Day and the recounts, it's clear that the challenger's campaign only sued to get these votes tossed out because he lost.

The scarier part is that -- if this challenge is successful and these votes get thrown out -- opponents of voting rights will absolutely try and do this in every other election around the country.

This case is still going on in North Carolina, John, and we have to keep spreading the word because the mainstream media continues to ignore election theft in plain sight.

The North Carolina state Supreme Court stepped in to stop the certification of the election for a justice on their court, which is a huge breach of power and a clearly partisan action in a state where judges are affiliated with political parties.

For background: On Election Day, incumbent Justice Allison Riggs (D) was reelected by a slim margin of a few hundred votes. Her disgruntled opponent, GOP Judge Jefferson Griffin, sued for and received two separate recounts -- both of which increased Riggs' lead.

Now, a coalition of more than 200 North Carolina jurists, attorneys, state government officials, bar leaders and legal educators signed on to a letter this month to Judge Griffin to end his effort to overturn the results of the 2024 election. 

“The arguments you have advanced ask our judicial system to change the rules in place for the 2024 election after it has run its course. Indeed, if you succeed, tens of thousands of voters will lose their voice after they voted,” the letter states. “For the sake of our judicial system, we ask you to terminate your litigation now.”

It's been months since Judge Griffin sued to remove 60,000 voters' ballots from the count, even though they've been validated in the recounts. The state Board of Elections dismissed his request, but his partisan, would-be colleagues -- the NC Supreme Court has a 5-2 Republican majority -- stepped in to adjudicate the election and possibly kick off one of their own.

Justices Anita Earls (D) and Richard Dietz (R) dissented while Justice Riggs properly recused herself, so the judicial stay on election certification was put in place by a 4-2, mainly party-line vote.

The bottom line is that the partisan NC Supreme Court is stepping into an election for one of their own members to try and reverse the results of the vote because their party didn't win. Opponents of voting rights are blatantly trying to steal this election in plain sight.
