We won’t allow Trump to threaten our workers, educators, and families.
Last week we successfully blocked the Trump administration on two critical fronts, holding the President accountable to the law.
As a result of our lawsuits, federal courts temporarily blocked Trump’s mass firing of federal probationary employees and stopped him from gutting grants that train aspiring K-12 teachers and get more teachers into our schools.
The federal workers Trump tried to fire and the teacher preparation grants he attempted to cancel provide support and services to countless Californians across our state—we won’t sit idly by and allow him to break the law and threaten our workers, educators, and families.
While these two rulings are a step in the right direction, we know the fight isn’t over. These cases will continue through the court system, and we can expect more unconstitutional executive orders and other actions from this administration, which seems to think the rules don’t apply to them.
I’m not in this to stop one president or one agenda — I’m here to defend the rights and freedoms afforded to every Californian and to ensure everyone in our state can pursue their California Dream.
While these court decisions temporarily block the president’s unlawful actions, we’re already preparing for the next round of legal battles: will you pitch in $5 or more to fuel our campaign ahead of our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline one week from today?
