Hi John,
At a time when the legal profession is under attack — when lawyers, judges, and advocates are being threatened simply for doing their jobs — we must stand up, speak out, and organize.
Thats why a group of lawyers came together last year to start the Community Violence Legal Network (CVLN). This community was built to ensure that CVI frontline practioners and survivors of community violence are not left behind — that they have access to legal support rooted in care, justice, and dignity. But today, this mission is more urgent than ever.
Across the country, the systems meant to protect and defend our communities are being undermined. Those of us who believe in justice must not only respond — we must mobilize.
We need you. Right now.
Join the CVLN to:
Protect access to legal support for advocates navigating violence, instability, and systemic harm
Push back against fear and intimidation targeting lawyers, legal professionals, and community advocates
Build a community committed to equity, safety, and true community justice
Whether you're a lawyer, advocate, service provider, organizer, or concerned neighbor — there is a role for you here.

This is a moment to rise to, not shrink from. We hope you’ll join us.
In peace,
Amber Goodwin
