The murder of George Floyd was an unspeakable tragedy and an evil act of cowardice. 

But the looting and burning of our cities has broken the hearts of Americans across the country and dishonors the cause of justice. 

We need our leaders to stand up and speak directly to our citizens in order to heal our country. 

That’s why John just released this message. 

Politicians will never solve the problems tearing Americans apart and inciting hatred. Legislation cannot simply change what’s in people’s hearts. 

Americans must work together, talk to one another, and most importantly, listen to what each other has to say. We will not heal until we come together as one. 

Americans do not want more division, destruction, and chaos. They want unity, leadership, and conversation. 

If we want to heal America’s wounds, we must look to our faith and reflect on the path that took us here.
