John,

Tomorrow, SB 1288 will be read and discussed in committee for the first time this session. This bill, like many filed by the Republican majority in Tallahassee, will have dangerous and disastrous consequences if it passes into law– and that’s why we need your help.

John, we just need one minute of your time. Click here to send a message to members of the Senate Education Pre-K-12 Committee and ask them to vote NO on this bill in their meeting tomorrow.

SB 1288: Parental Rights aims to prevent minors from safely accessing sexual and reproductive healthcare. By repealing existing statutes that allow minors to receive certain care without parental consent (like birth control and STI testing), this legislation would prohibit providers from giving such care to young patients who cannot procure parental consent. Like parental consent laws on abortion care, this bill would harm many young people who are trying to prevent pregnancy and illness, especially those who may already live in precarious situations.

The attacks on our access to reproductive and sexual healthcare are relentless, but so are we. Please join us in raising our voices against this dangerous legislation.

Keep Fighting,

Christina Diamond
