To my community — I see you and I am hurting with you. I stand with you in your calls for action against the racism and injustice that is so deeply rooted in our nation’s history. I am proud to peacefully protest alongside you. And as your representative, I will continue to condemn police brutality and confront racism in all its forms until we achieve the reform we deserve.
Our President’s response to George Floyd’s murder is shameful, but unfortunately not surprising. We have been shown countless times just how dangerous his presidency is to our country.
That is why I am so thankful for supporters like you who have continued to stand with me so that we can hold our Democratic majority in the House and build a movement strong enough to beat Trump in November. We need real fixes, and those fixes will only come when we have leaders who truly care to do so.
This week, I voiced my support for the Resolution to Condemn Police Brutality introduced by my Democratic colleagues in the House. This is the kind of leadership and action we need — it is one step of many I plan to take.
As I know many of my supporters are looking for ways to get involved with this movement, I wanted to share a few resources with you:
Combatting structural racism is a task that requires every one of us to recognize the issues, educate ourselves, and demand action from our leaders daily.
Inaction is not an option when Black men and women are losing their lives.
Thank you for standing with me,
Mark

He’s been a voice for veterans, seniors, students, local businesses and hardworking families. We need to hold our Democratic Congressional majority now more than ever. The leadership of Democrats like Mark will be critical to holding Trump accountable and ensuring the healing of our country during this challenging time. Please help us keep Mark in Congress fighting for our Democratic values by contributing today!
