In May we were well behind our fundraising metrics, but so many of you—by the thousands—donated whatever was in your capacity, and helped us crush our goal. Our average donation was $31.43. You helped us get this far. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, our staff, our interns, and our volunteers—thank you.

When we launched this campaign on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, I knew two things with certainty. One, that we had a long road ahead. Two, that the only way we'll win is together, by us earning your support. The horrifying pandemic, economic devastation, and a hurting populace protesting racial injustice only further affirm how crucial it is that we stand together on this long road to justice.

June is our "make or break" month. We have our primary election on June 23 and our end of quarter fundraising deadline June 30. The overwhelming challenges we face seem impossible. But that simply means it is that much more necessary that we continue to rely on each other with compassion through action.

Over the coming days and weeks, look out for our emails, texts, and calls. We will be reaching out to you to continue to partner to lift our district, commonwealth, and nation. It's a long road to the more perfect union and promised land our forefathers spoke of. And we are privileged to struggle and strive with you to make this journey together. Thank you for walking with us. Let's go.
