With the Trump administration once again threatening fundamental civil rights and liberties at the federal level, what we do in California matters more than ever. This year is a critical moment to push for strong state policies that protect our communities, and set a national example. We invite you to join us in two key efforts to defend and advance civil rights in California.

April 8 | Launch of the ACLU's 2025 California Legislative Agenda <[link removed]>
Before we take our advocacy directly to lawmakers, join us for a deep dive into the ACLU's 2025 California Legislative Agenda. Experts will outline our priority bills and discuss how you can help drive policies on critical issues, including housing, police militarization, funding for immigrant legal services, and more. This will also give you all the information you need to join our Week of Action the following week.

April 14 – 18 | Lobby Your Legislators During Spring Recess <[link removed]>
Once you're informed, take the next step. During the week of April 14 – 18, we're organizing meetings with legislators across the state to push for meaningful change. When you sign up, we'll connect you with a team, help schedule your meetings, and provide training and materials – no prior experience necessary. You are strongly encouraged to ALSO attend the launch event on April 8 if possible, though makeup opportunities will be provided.
