John

After a fast week in Oklahoma to check on and pray with wildfire victims and hear from Oklahomans, I’m back in Washington, DC, this week to get our fiscal house in order, get President Trump’s agency leaders confirmed, and roll back Biden’s disastrous policies. Keep praying for those affected by the wildfires all over the state—this will be a very long road for them since they lost everything.

We have a big week in the Finance Committee, to hear from Frank Bisignano, who is an excellent choice from President Trump to serve as the next commissioner for the Social Security Administration. I have already met with him in my office to talk about his commitment to protect Social Security benefits, but deal with the fraud that is hurting the future of Social Security. All the fear-mongering about “cutting Social Security" on social media and on liberal news media is simply not true.

On the Senate floor this week, we will confirm some additional nominees and keep working on a major tax and spending reduction package. A bill this large takes multiple steps, over months, to write and debate. But, we have already made good progress. Keep praying for the nation.

In case you missed them, below are some of the interviews I participated in while I was in Oklahoma last week (including a couple stations that are actually in north Texas because they broadcast to southern Oklahoma).
