Hi folks, it’s Jenny, Tim Kaine’s Finance Director.
As you read this email and the others like it in your inbox, you may be wondering what a donation can actually do, given where we are in the election cycle.
But here’s the thing — even though the midterm elections are a year and a half away, right here in Virginia we’re less than eight months from major statewide elections!
Right now, Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General are all offices held by Republicans, and Democrats have the chance to FLIP them BLUE this November. Plus, we need to hold onto our narrow majority in the Virginia House of Delegates.
Doing all of that is a top priority for Tim Kaine this year. [[link removed]] On top of his hard work in the Senate pushing back against the lawless Trump Administration, his political team in VA is doing everything they can to support our great Democrats running for office.
Flipping all of Virginia’s statewide offices from red to blue won’t be easy. Getting Democrats to the polls when many are exhausted from 2024 and ready to check out of politics isn’t just challenging, it’s expensive — so we have a lot of work to do. But it’s really, really important work. Not only will winning these races make a huge difference in Virginians’ lives, it will also send a message to the national GOP that voters are strongly against the extreme agenda they’re pushing.
This is our first chance to stand up to the Trump Administration, so we can’t hold back.
Tim’s Common Ground PAC is going to be working around the clock between now and November to support Democratic victories — because the fact is, Tim Kaine knows how to win in Virginia!
I’ve told Tim we need to raise $100,000 for Common Ground by the end of Q1 (just a week away!) if we want to stay on track for our ambitious work — so I’m coming to you for help.
