Dear Advocates,

I am thrilled to share with you wonderful news that today, the Montana House Judiciary Committee passed SB 136! This bill would remove consent as a defense for physician-assisted suicide, which is the legal loophole that allows unregulated assisted suicide in Montana.

By a vote of 11-10, SB 136 now moves to the House floor. It has already successfully passed the Senate, and we encourage the Montana House of Representatives to take the important step of passing this legislation.

Assisted suicide is dangerous and discriminatory and puts untold vulnerable Montanans at extreme risk. We are so grateful to all advocates who have been educating their legislators and urging support of SB 136.

If you live in Montana, or know someone who does, please use and pass along this form to contact your legislator!

Onward!

Jessica
