Sometimes, camp is the best medicine.
Children living with diabetes often feel isolated in their diagnosis and overwhelmed managing their condition. But at American Diabetes Association® (ADA) Camp, alongside their fellow campers and dedicated counselors, they know they’re not going through it alone. Since 1949, the ADA has welcomed over 100,000 campers and families to ADA camps across the country, providing a safe, supportive space where kids can be kids—while learning to independently manage their diabetes with confidence.
How ADA Camp changes lives:
- Hands-on learning: Campers gain essential diabetes management skills, from carb counting to insulin dosing.
- Strong community: Campers form lifelong friendships with peers who truly understand the challenges and experiences of living with diabetes.
- Peace of mind: Campers gain independence while their families can rest knowing their children are in expert hands.
- Fun: Campers enjoy all the fun traditional camp activities, including water activities, hiking, arts and crafts, bonfires, and so much more.

“Camp was so empowering. My daughter saw she is not alone, and by watching other kids, she knows that diabetes is not limiting her life. If she manages herself, she can live her life to the fullest. She can’t wait to go back next year.”
