Dear Friend,
I have had some important jobs. But the most important role I will ever hold is being “Dad” to my daughters Mariah, Cara, and Michaela.
With my girls’ support and encouragement, I am running for Mayor of New York City because I want to give them—and every New Yorker—a city that is safe, affordable, healthy, educated, and fair.
In the first three weeks of this campaign, I’ve met with New Yorkers in every borough. We’ve talked about the need fora safe commute to work, affordable childcare, clean streets, and rents that all New Yorkers can truly afford.
I’ve also been hard at work with my team crafting policy plans to address the crises that our city is facing. We’ve rolled out a comprehensive public safety plan, a detailed roadmap to restore safety and order to the subway, and a plan to make New York City more affordable—for everyone.
In the coming weeks, I’ll talk in depth about healthcare, housing, infrastructure, and much more. These issues may not always sound exciting, but effective leadership requires hard work and planning. As Mayor, I’ll be ready on day one to tackle New York City’s biggest challenges.
I am a lifelong New Yorker. I love New York, and I want New York to not only survive, but to thrive, for my children and for yours.
With hope for the future,
