Clinton Pollster Says Americans are Rejecting Democrats: “Never Seen Anything Like This”

Former Clinton pollster Mark Penn said Friday on Fox News that crucial voter groups are fleeing the Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party’s favorability ([link removed] ) rating plummeted to a new low of 29%, according to a CNN/SSRS poll ([link removed] ) conducted from March 6-9. During an appearance on “Hannity,” Penn said he was shocked at the current state of the Democratic Party and said he’s never seen its rating this low in decades.

“I’ve never seen anything like this in over 40 years of polling. The Democratic Party ratings have collapsed from a 47% favorable down to 29, 27 in some of these polls, and that’s an incredible loss of moderate, working-class voters,” Penn said.

Penn said that the party seems to be shrinking to a base composed primarily of left-wing advocates like Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who have been actively promoting the Democratic platform across the country.

Congress tries to stop the hundreds of billions in fraudulent and improper spending

Last year, the U.S. government made at least $162 billion ([link removed] ) in improper payments, according to a nonpartisan government watchdog. Kristin Kociolek of the Government Accountability Office also told ([link removed] ) a House oversight subcommittee that the government was defrauded of $233 billion to $521 billion per year between 2018 and 2022.

Social welfare programs and pandemic emergency programs have proven especially prone to errors and abuses. Medicare ([link removed] ) , the health insurance program for senior citizens, racked up $54.3 billion in improper payments last year. Medicaid, the healthcare program for low-income people, improperly dispensed $31.1 billion. The earned income tax credit ([link removed] ) , which gives an income tax cut, accounted for another $15.9 billion, and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or food stamps, cost $8.7 billion.

None of this is news to Reps. Pete Sessions (R-TX) or Kweisi Mfume (D-MD), who lead the House Oversight Subcommittee on Government Operations and the Federal Workforce. The two legislators have been investigating ([link removed] ) errant government payments for a few years.

They are unlikely partners.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Returns Nearly $1 Billion In ‘Unused’ Federal Funds After Meeting With Elon Musk

Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Friday that Florida has returned nearly $1 billion in federal funds after meeting with Elon Musk.

“For years, Florida has been trying to return federal funds to the federal government due to the ideological strings attached by the Biden Administration—but they couldn’t even figure out how to accept it,” the governor said in a post ([link removed] ) on X. “Today, I met with @elonmusk and the DOGE team, and we got this done in the same day.”

“Other states should follow Florida in supporting DOGE’s efforts!”DeSantis said.

The post was accompanied by an email from DeSantis’ office to the U.S. Department of the Treasury ([link removed] ) . The email noted after his visit with Musk’s ([link removed] ) Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), the state of Florida returned $878,112,000 in taxpayer dollars ([link removed] ) to the federal government.
