Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is under fire for enabling Donald Trump’s dangerous agenda—and the backlash is growing by the day.

Instead of using his power to block Trump’s reckless and cruel government funding bill, Schumer forced Senate Democrats to swallow the Republican legislation. The bill hands a blank check to Trump and Elon Musk, guts vital services, and strips Congress of its constitutional power to decide how public funds are spent.

There is a deep sense of outrage and betrayal among Democratic lawmakers, progressive advocates, and grassroots activists—a backlash so intense that Schumer was forced to postpone his national book tour due to protests and public fury over his decision.
