The mission to end gun violence is deeply personal to me. My children were
school aged when the massacre at Sandy Hook happened. It was then that I
realized that if that could happen to those little children, it could
happen to mine. And if I didn't become involved in the effort to change
gun laws in this country, I would be failing them as a parent. This
realization drove me to create the Everytown Creative Council, a coalition
of over 200 artists using their platforms to advocate for stronger gun
safety measures.
