I said this when I announced my run for president, and I believe it more with each passing day under this apathetic administration:

We are all in a battle for the soul of this nation.

And I want to be clear, John: I'm not expressing nostalgia for some imaginary America from a bygone era. I'm expressing belief in the ideals that were set -- but not met -- by our Founding Fathers and carried on by activists, community leaders, organizers, and Americans just like you. I believe in the idea of America -- that no matter where you start in life, there's nothing you can't do once you work at it.

I also believe that together, we can make that idea a reality in this country. Together, and only together, can we put our country back on the path toward justice and equality by defeating Donald Trump and electing Democrats nationwide. That's going to take committed Democrats, like you, pitching in what they can to the Democratic Unity Fund, which deploys election-winning tools to campaigns like mine and thousands of Democrats across the nation.
