Dear John,

Did you know that the Black community faces a disproportionately high prevalence of Alzheimer's, alongside challenges in early diagnosis and caregiving?

To address this, we are hosting "Weaving a Cultural Perspective of the 4 Pillars Through the Practice of Yoga," on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Join renowned yoga therapists and educators Marilyn Peppers-Citizen, E-RYT500, C-IAYT, and Charlene Muhammad, E-RYT500, C-IAYT, as they delve into the rich tapestry of traditional spiritual practices within the Black community.

Marilyn is a certified yoga therapist, national board-certified health and wellness coach, and clinic faculty for the MUIH Master of Science in Yoga Therapy program. Charlene holds a Master of Science degree in Herbal Medicine and is a licensed dietitian. Both are members of the Black Yoga Teachers Alliance Board of Directors.

Easy Ways to Support ARPF

  • Facebook fundraiser: ask your friends and family to donate for your birthday or another special occasion. Facebook offers this easy option, and it doesn’t cost you anything. If you don’t have a Facebook account, ask your young family members to create it for you.

  • Donate a vehicle: if you have a car, truck, motorcycle, RV, or boat that you don't want, it can be put to good use as an ARPF donation. This nationwide service is a great way to show support.
