Hi friend --

On Monday, Donald Trump stood in the Rose Garden and called himself "an ally of all peaceful protesters." While he was telling that lie, police were acting on his horrific orders to tear-gas peaceful protesters who were blocking Trump's path to St. John's Church.

It was the only way the president could have his photo-op.

That's right -- while patting himself on the back for being the people's champion, Trump was happy to have innocent Americans subjected to his "ominous weapons" just so he could get a few more moments with the press. And while Trump strode calmly toward the church for his pictures, protesters panicked, screamed, and fled in fear.

An ally of peaceful protesters doesn't hide out in a bunker all weekend while activists are attacked in the streets. But the 43% of likely voters who still approve of Donald Trump seem to think our chief executive is doing right by America. What do you think?
