We believe in being honest with the folks who support us, and so we need to come to you now and say it straight up: we’re in a bit of a bind, and I’m not sure we can make it out .
Because ActBlue doesn’t disburse funds over the weekend, our cash on hand does not reflect all that we’ve raised from Friday to today. But we are running out of time, and we simply cannot wait until Monday to buy precious TV air time and to pay our canvassers who are working double shifts reaching out to persuadable voters.
So, we have to do something risky: We’re going all in and spending money that we don’t yet have , in the hopes that our supporters from all over the country will understand the predicament we’re in and rush to help keep us afloat.
Tomorrow morning, we need to see an incredible influx of donations that came in over the weekend. If we don’t hit our goals and pull in enough donations to cover our ad buys and payroll for our door to door canvassers, we could be in serious trouble .
