Good afternoon everyone!

We wanted to send an update on the Executive Committee Meeting that was on Thursday the 20th to those who were unable to attend.

Bill Hamilton gave updates on the Lincoln Day Dinner. We will be judging Silent Auction Baskets at our meeting on Thursday, April 17th. All baskets will be auctioned off, but whoever makes the winning basket will receive a 50.00 Gift Card and access to the VIP room at the Lincoln Day Dinner.

Attached below is a form for nominations for the Carol Little Award. If there is someone who goes above and beyond for the Lapeer County Republican Party and would like to nominate them, please complete the attached form and email it to Chairman Jacob LeRoy at [email protected].

Lincoln Day Dinner tickets are on sale now at [link removed]. You can also complete the attached form and mail it along with your check (made payable to Lapeer County Republican Party) to PO Box 693, Lapeer, MI 48446. Tickets must be purchased by April 15th so we can give a head count to the caterer. Be sure to tell your friends and neighbors and invite them to come and join us

Our Keynote speaker for the evening will be the chairman for the MIGOP, Senator Jim Runestad. Doors open for the VIP room at 5pm and dinner will be served at 6:30 in the main dining room at The Bells Event Center (401A Church St, Almont, MI 49003).

Adopt-A-Highway program, the Lapeer County Republican Party does a spring clean-up of M-24 from I-69 south to Hunter's Creek Rd, if you are interested in volunteering please email [email protected], the timeframe is is April 5th to 13th.

There will be Social Media class on Saturday March 29th, 2025 from 11am to 1pm at Mayfield Township Hall, 1900 S. Saginaw St, Lapeer, MI 48446. Bill Gavette will be teaching people how to sign up and use (X) formerly Twitter, It is great platform for communication and getting uncensored news. Meeting will take place in the basement level of the building.

A vacant seat on the Lapeer District Library Board will be filled by appointment of the Lapeer County Board of Commissioners.

It is essential that we express our concerns about the use of libraries to promote materials that are inappropriate for children, especially sexually explicit content. We must ensure that libraries are not used as platforms for the indoctrination of our children.

This meeting will include a public comment period at the beginning, providing an opportunity for you to express your concerns and support for appointing a board member who will prioritize the protection of children. It’s crucial that we show up in strong numbers as defenders of our children, especially since those advocating for unrestricted access to such materials will surely be present.

Your presence and voice at this meeting are vital to ensuring our libraries remain safe and appropriate for all families. We encourage you to attend and speak up in support of safeguarding our children’s well-being.

Important: Please note that this is a courthouse and there will be security measures in place, including metal detectors at the entrance.
