Supreme Court takes up challenge to Colorado's ban on ‘conversion therapy’ for LGBTQ+ minors [1]

The far-right Supreme Court is threatening to roll back progress in Colorado and across the country.

Let’s be clear: So-called “gay conversion therapy” has been debunked by every major medical organization in the country. Many of the kids subjected to it have described it as nothing less than torture, and study after study shows it increases the risk of suicide among LGBTQ+ youth.

This form of child abuse has no place in our state or our country.

That’s why here in Colorado, we’ve banned conversion therapy for minors – but now, that ban is going to the Supreme Court.

Brittany Pettersen believes every child deserves to grow up in a safe environment where they are loved for who they are. By potentially striking down Colorado’s ban on this dangerous practice, the Supreme Court would be placing countless children at risk of harm.
