It is beyond unacceptable for the President of the United States to threaten the American people with the deployment of U.S. troops as an attempt to silence their anger, frustration, and constitutional right to speak out against injustice.
Earlier this week, Trump allowed the use of rubber bullets and tear gas to clear away peaceful protestors for a self-indulgent photo op. This was not about public "safety." This was about using force to suppress the voices of Americans who are exercising their constitutional rights nationwide. The American people need and deserve better from their leaders.

Donald is proud to have walked peacefully with our community to demand justice and equality last weekend in Camden. He's proud of the march organizers who set the example, and thankful to the officers and elected officials who joined us. And lastly, Donald is proud that President Obama recognized our community as an example of the peaceful, courageous, and inspiring nature of this movement.

We must continue standing up for racial justice. We must continue fighting for the safety and dignity that our African American friends and neighbors so rightfully deserve. And we must speak out against Trump's disregard for the Constitution, the American people, and our hard-won freedoms.
His use of violent force against peaceful protestors will NOT be tolerated.
