John, for 57 days the new deportation agenda has put immigrant caregivers at risk. Families leave every morning for work and school, scared they will not all come home.
To make things worse, lawmakers just passed a bill that allocated more funding to the immigration agency and are also working on a budget bill that would gut vital resources, ripping Medicaid and nutrition assistance away from millions: a $300+ billion budget blueprint that advances the cruel deportation agenda.
It’s set to unleash indiscriminate sweeps across our neighborhoods, turbocharge ICE raids near schools, churches and hospitals, and send thousands to detention facilities , ripping families apart.

Every day, immigrant caregivers wake up before dawn to care for our aging parents, nurture our children, and support people with disabilities. They cook, clean, and provide essential medical care—often working long hours without healthcare benefits. They are the backbone of our families, communities, and economy.
Congress has a choice, and instead of investing in care, these anti-care electeds want to pour billions of YOUR tax dollars into tearing families apart.
One in three home care workers in the U.S. is an immigrant. They provide life-sustaining care in hospitals, nursing homes, and private residences. Deporting them will devastate their families and leave millions of seniors, children, and people with disabilities without care.
We cannot afford to lose the workers who make care possible—or allow billions to be diverted into policies rooted in fear instead of solutions.

Cutting care to fund cruelty is a choice to destabilize families, drive up care costs, and push more people into crisis —all while wasting billions on detention and deportation.
We need real solutions: investments in Medicaid, family sustaining wages for care workers, and policies that strengthen families and communities instead of tearing them apart.
Thank you for fighting for a better future for all of us,
Care Team

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.
Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
