Dear Friend,
Good afternoon, and welcome to our
Weekend Update.
It was a great night in Philly with President Donald J.
Trump, Elon Musk, Senator Dave
McCormick, Congressman Jim
Jordan, and so many others as we cheered
on Penn State at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships.
Congratulations to the Nittany Lions on clinching their 13th NCAA
title—an incredible achievement by a truly dominant program. We
proudly support these outstanding athletes and celebrate a big win for
Pennsylvania!
And 99.9% of the crowd, regardless of which program or wrestler
they were there to cheer on, agreed on one thing - they love President
Trump and his policy agenda to Make America Great Again. He received
thunderous applause and chants of USA, USA! It was a great night to
celebrate Penn State, wrestling, and America! Click
here or below to watch a video of President Trump's entrance to
the arena.
On Wednesday night, I participated in a
town hall at Treasures Banquet Hall in Germantown, hosted by The Do
For Self Coalition and the organization's leaders, Xavier Devereaux
and Nafis Toole. I was also joined by State Representative David
Zimmerman and his team and Calvin Tucker, who helped coordinate the
event.
Before the town hall, we spoke with individuals voicing their
opposition to the Trump administration and our event. While they were
initially there to protest, our conversations turned civil and
productive—something I always welcome.
The town hall provided a great forum to discuss critical issues
facing Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and our nation. I appreciate the
engagement from everyone who attended and the thoughtful discussions
we had.
I want to give a special thanks to Dan Ramsey and the team at
Treasures Banquet Hall for hosting us. I look forward to continuing
these important conversations across our communities. Click

This visit generated media coverage about
the Pennsylvania governor's election next year and my interest in a
potential candidacy. I can confirm it is something I am seriously
considering. I firmly believe that our Commonwealth is the greatest
state in the nation. However, we have not had strong leadership in the
governor's office for some time. We need a leader in the executive
office who wants to emulate the policies of states that are winning,
like Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Indiana, and Texas. Pennsylvania has
abundant natural resources, a key location close to major metropolitan
areas, and the best workforce in the nation. I will keep you apprised
of my decision-making process as I explore this opportunity to serve
Pennsylvania in a different role.
Earlier this week, the U.S. Department of
Energy Secretary Wright approved the CP2 Project in Louisiana, which,
when completed, will be the second-largest LNG export facility in the
United States. This is another significant step by the Trump
Administration toward restoring America’s energy dominance.
For four years under Biden, we endured
"gas-backward" energy policies that weakened our nation and increased
reliance on foreign adversaries. President Trump is putting America
First with a pro-energy, pro-jobs agenda that unleashes our nation’s
full potential. An all-of-the-above and all-of-the-below energy
approach—leveraging oil, natural gas, nuclear, clean coal, and more—is
essential to creating jobs, lowering costs, and securing our energy
future.
Pennsylvania must adopt a similar
approach to harness our Commonwealth’s abundant natural resources,
ensuring benefits not only for our state’s residents but for all
Americans. I joined "Varney & Co." on Fox Business for an
interview to discuss further. Click
here or below to watch.

I joined "Fox Across America with Jimmy
Failla" earlier this week! We discussed how President Trump’s America
First agenda is restoring confidence in small businesses by cutting
burdensome regulations, fixing SBA loan programs, and implementing
pro-growth policies that benefit entrepreneurs. I also highlighted our
efforts to hold federal agencies accountable—ending anti-business
policies at the SEC, FDIC, and CFPB that stifled investment and
innovation.
These policies drive economic success,
and it’s the same approach Pennsylvania should be taking to stay
competitive and grow. Click
here or below to listen to our interview.

I was on the "RJ Harris Breakfast Show"
on WHP 580 this week. I discussed the importance of school
choice in empowering parents and expanding Vo-Tech education to
prepare students for good-paying careers. We also discussed how
President Trump’s border policies have drastically reduced illegal
crossings and my Investing in All of America Act, which will help
small businesses grow and create jobs. Check out the interview by clicking

IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE
MAINSTREAM MEDIA: Under President Trump, the message to
criminals who bring harm and destruction to our communities is simple:
you will be found, and you will face justice.

This week, Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel announced the capture of
another fugitive from its “Ten Most Wanted” list — initiating the
extradition of a key senior leader of the brutal MS-13 gang, Francisco
Javier Roman-Bardales, from Mexico to face charges in the United
States. Roman-Bardales was wanted “for his alleged role in ordering
numerous acts of violence against civilians and rival gang members, as
well as his role in drug distribution and extortion schemes in the
United States and El Salvador.”
The cold-blooded criminal is the third
fugitive on the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted” list apprehended since
President Trump took office.
- Arnoldo Jimenez — a fugitive wanted on
first-degree murder charges — was arrested on January 30,
2025.
- Donald Eugene Fields II — a fugitive
wanted on child sex trafficking and child rape charges — was arrested
on January 25, 2025.
The Trump Administration will stop at
nothing to keep the American people safe.
President Trump’s nomination of Michelle
Bowman as Vice Chair for Supervision of the Federal Reserve comes at a
crucial moment for our banking system. With regulatory issues like
Basel III still on the table, strong, balanced oversight is more vital
than ever. Miki Bowman’s experience—both in the private sector and on
the Board of Governors—provides her with a holistic view of the
economy.
She understands the needs of community
and regional banks and will work to ensure the Fed’s regulatory
approach strengthens, rather than stifles, America’s financial system.
I am confident in her ability to lead the Fed’s supervisory and
regulatory position toward a more competitive, resilient banking
sector and support President Trump’s pro-growth economic agenda.

This week, we celebrated National
Agriculture Day. We recognize the hardworking farmers, ranchers, and
producers who keep our nation fed and supply chains strong. Their
dedication sustains our communities and strengthens our economy. Thank
you for all you do!

In November, egg prices began to climb
due to the avian flu, which led to the loss of 160 million egg-laying
hens during the outbreak. The Biden Administration did little to
combat the avian flu, and the drastic reduction in supply drove prices
to record highs, hitting upwards of $8 per dozen. However, in early
March, prices began to decline steadily.
This crisis put a tremendous strain on
consumers and America’s poultry farmers, with whom I have remained in
contact since the outbreak. Over the past two months, the Trump
Administration’s USDA has taken decisive action, launching a serious
plan to combat avian flu. This includes:
- Strengthening biosecurity measures
- Providing financial relief to affected farmers
- Investing in vaccine development to prevent future outbreaks
I have been in direct contact with USDA
Secretary Brooke Rollins several times to discuss the matter. I feel
highly assured that she and her office have put together a plan to
resolve this situation as quickly as possible. Secretary Rollins is
discussing the issue with poultry farms across the country and in
Pennsylvania to hear about the challenges they’re facing and about
their ideas to address the current and future outbreaks. As I’ve said
many times before, the Trump Administration is not about throwing
money at a problem but rather about solving the problem in the
short-term and the long-term—positive results for the American people
are all that matter to President Trump and his Administration.
On Friday, I had a great time at Susquehanna County Ag Day,
hosted by the Susquehanna County Farm Bureau. I enjoyed connecting
with farmers and local leaders—including Susquehanna County
Commissioners Dave Darrow, Allan Hall, Robert McNamara, and PA State Rep. Jonathan
Fritz—to discuss the future of
Pennsylvania agriculture, one of the state’s largest industries.
Ag plays a vital role throughout our District, and our local
farmers deserve policies that work for them—not against them. I’ll
continue focusing on practical solutions that lower costs,
open new markets, and keep Pennsylvania agriculture strong for years
to come.

I attended a great Pennsylvania
Opportunity PAC event hosted by PA's GOP National
Committeeman Andy Reilly. It was a pleasure to join PA GOP Chairman
Greg
Rothman and Senator Dave
McCormick as we continue building on
the success of the 2024 election. Momentum is on our side — and we’re
just getting started as we look ahead to 2026 and beyond.

On Friday afternoon, I joined Lackawanna County Commissioner Chris
Chermak, Senator Dave
McCormick, Congressman Rob Bresnahan
Jr., Pennsylvania Auditor
General Tim DeFoor, and
Senator Lisa
Baker for a roundtable with local business
and union leaders. It was a great opportunity for all of us to hear
directly from the community on key issues and discuss our shared
priorities.
I spoke about my work in Congress to drive economic growth,
promote rural development, unleash American energy dominance, and support
small businesses—highlighting initiatives like my Investing in All of
America Act, broadband expansion, and efforts to cut burdensome
regulations and strengthen our economy.
Thank you to Commissioner Chermak for facilitating this
meaningful conversation. I always welcome the opportunity to engage in
productive dialogue and enjoyed the thoughtful discussion.
May God continue to bless our nation. I
look forward to seeing you soon,

Dan
