Good morning! I hope that the weather is warming up where you are and that you can see glimpses of spring. Here, we have very erratic weather - one day it's so cold we need the heat on, and the next day it's up over 80 degrees. But the trees are getting bright green buds, daffodils and hyacinths are waving in the breeze, and some of the trees are already flowering.
My daughter lives in an old building with a central courtyard that is positively alive with blooms. There's some kind of tree I thought was an ordinary willow which is now draped in tiny white blossoms. There are camellia trees in some of the most extraordinary colors I've ever seen. We also have magnolias and what I suspect are crepe myrtles but that is yet to be confirmed. I go outside and sit in the courtyard to read every afternoon and think about how very wonderful it is to feel the sunshine on my skin again after all this time being unable to get out.
Last weekend, we went to the library, and I got a lovely stack of books to enjoy. These little outings that were once simply annoying tasks to get through feel so much different now that my perspective has been changed by such a long time indoors. We've also made a couple of grocery trips and even choosing my own food has felt like extraordinary freedom and pleasure. I hope that even when these excursions are once again commonplace, I can hold onto the joy that these little things make me feel right now.
I've been working on a new frugality product that will probably be released tomorrow. As much as I'm pleased with many of the things Trump and his administration have done, I know for a fact that this is not going to be an easy time. Things will get worse economically before they get better. It's the nature of change. There is very little instant economic relief - but in the long run, when we have brought manufacturing and farming back to our own land, our outlook will be bright and prosperous once again. However, we're in for a rough ride until we reach that destination, and frugality, as always, is the answer.
I hope that things are going well for you and that spring is bringing you a bit of brightness, wherever you are.
Stay safe and be happy.
Daisy
