Reyna is the newly elected Vice Chair for Civic Engagement and Voter Participation at the DNC, a North Carolina resident, UNC-Chapel Hill alumna, and longtime friend of YDNC.
At UNC, she was the first woman of color and second woman ever elected as Student Body President. While a student, she led the efforts that led to the first satellite polling place within walking distance of campus.
Reyna has dedicated her career to protecting voting rights, from working on Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign to leading the national voter protection program at the DNC in 2019. This February, Reyna was elected as the DNC Vice Chair for Civic Engagement and Voter Participation. It's an honor to have her speak at our convention.

Our reserved room block at the Embassy Suites Hilton by Fayetteville has filled up. If you need to stay overnight before the convention, you can either book a room through the hotel's normal website or find other accommodations close to the hotel at 4760 Lake Valley Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28303. The general business session begins at 9:30am on Saturday 4/5, so you may not need lodging if you live within a reasonable distance and are willing to get up early on Saturday. |
Kay Hagan Memorial Scholarship |
YDNC is accepting applications for the Kay Hagan Memorial Scholarship, established in 2024 in honor of the late Senator Kay Hagan. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to eligible applicants -- click the button below to learn more and apply! Applications will be accepted until 11:59pm on April 1, 2025. |
Each year at convention, the Young Democrats of North Carolina present awards in recognition of outstanding individuals' contributions to the organization in the previous year. Follow the link below to learn more and nominate deserving individuals. Nominations close at 11:59pm on April 1, 2025. |
If you are a chapter president, you must complete the chartering process by March 27th at 11:59pm for your chapter and delegates to participate at Convention. If you have not yet received chartering materials or have any questions, please email President Zach Finley at [email protected]. |
