Ohio farmers grow the food that feeds America, friend.
I'm proud to represent them, and I make it a top priority to fight for them in Congress. That fight is not just limited to the Farm Bill that passes every five years. It also means supporting the network of initiatives and programs that Ohio farmers rely upon to make ends meet.
That's why the latest Trump cuts are so devastating. His administration is selling out small farmers, plain and simple.

Dismantling USAID also means dismantling Food For Peace — an international food assistance program that has been buying American crops for more than 60 years.
In 2020, Food For Peace purchased roughly $2 billion worth of food from US farmers to distribute internationally.
And that's not the only investment in American growers that the Trump administration has slashed. Earlier this month, the USDA announced it would end two critical programs that purchase fresh food from local farms to feed seniors, low-income families, and under-resourced school districts.
Not only do these programs improve our communities' access to fresh, healthy food — they've also delivered more than $2 billion in investment to our local farmers.
Friend, farmers across the country have said that these programs single-handedly kept their family farms open. Cutting these investments doesn't make our country stronger, healthier, or more self-sufficient. It does the opposite.
As long as I'm in Congress, I'll do everything in my power to support Ohio farmers. Can I count on you to stand with me, friend?
Thank you so much.
