Water is opportunity. UNICEF is on the ground in the Democratic Republic of the Congo delivering urgently needed humanitarian assistance to children living through devastating conflict. In Syria, war has destroyed vital infrastructure. 13.6 million people are living without basic water, sanitation and hygiene. UNICEF is working with partners to repair power lines to get water pumping again. UNICEF has helped nearly 5.8 million people, including over 958,000 children, access safe drinking water in Ukraine since February 2022.
