Meet Cubby, a blind dog who sees with his heart.
When we found Cubby at Chicago Animal Care & Control through our 360@CACC initiative, he had already faced more challenges than most dogs will in a lifetime. Born with microphthalmia, a condition that prevented his eyes from fully developing, Cubby has never known what the world looks like. But he’s certainly felt its hardships.
Imagine navigating the streets, unable to see the cars rushing by, the dangers lurking around every corner, or even the kindness of a stranger. How did this sweet, blind pup survive on his own? We may never know. But we do know Cubby will never be alone again.
