Water is something we rely on every single day—often without a second thought. But the truth is, we only truly appreciate it when our access is threatened, like during droughts. So today, let’s change that. GIVE AN HOUR

Hi John,

Happy World Water Day! It might not be a day you typically mark on your calendar, but water is something we rely on every single day—often without a second thought. The truth is, we only truly appreciate it when our access is threatened, like during droughts.

So today, let’s change that. Let’s celebrate water!

How? Give an Hour for Earth—WWF’s annual campaign that helps you take meaningful action in just one hour—has plenty of ways for you to get involved.

Give your hour ►

Need ideas? Here are some activities that can help you celebrate water today or any day:

Watch WWF’s NEW Wildlife Café video podcast about freshwater fish and their ecosystems.

Create a water secure garden by collecting rainwater and grouping plants with similar water needs.

Take on the Water Use Challenge by tracking how and when you use water.

Explore your local river, lake, stream, or wetland and discover these incredibly biodiverse ecosystems.

Participate in a nature clean up around rivers, streams, or by storm drains and gutters.

Still looking for the perfect way to participate? Check out the Hour Bank which has over 50 ways for you to give an hour for Earth.

Let’s take action—because every drop counts, and so does every hour.
