On April 5, people across the country will gather in Washington,
D.C. to demand an end to the U.S.-Israeli genocide in Gaza! Trump and
Netanyahu are unleashing a new chapter in the massacre in their effort
to expel all Palestinians from Gaza, but the people here in the United
States and around the world can stop them and win a ceasefire and an
arms embargo against the Israeli regime.
A broad coalition has come together for this pivotal action.
Initial sponsors include the Palestinian Youth Movement, The People's
Forum, the ANSWER Coalition, American Muslims for Palestine,
Democratic Socialists of America, Jewish Voice for Peace, U.S.
Palestinian Community Network, U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights,
Palestinian Feminist Collective, AROC Action, and Al-Awda, and many
more are joining.
For over 16 months, Gaza has endured a brutal, ongoing genocide
carried out by Israel with the full backing and support of the US
government. Israel continued to violate the terms of the ceasefire
reached on January 19th, breaking it over 980 times, and culminating
in a complete blockade of the Gaza strip which began on March 1st and
a return to all out war on March 17th. In the past week alone Israel
has intensified the bombing of Gaza, began a ground invasion and
killed over 500 Palestinians within 48 hours.
The Trump White House has not only given a green light to the
renewed bombing and invasion of genocide, it is waging a war at home
against free speech rights, the student movement, immigrants, and the
social and economic reforms that were achieved by the Civil Rights
movement in the 1960s.
April 5th will be an expression of unity and determination in our
fight for peace and justice. This movement is made of students,
workers, teachers, artists, activists, healthcare workers, tech
workers and people of conscience all over the world who will not back
down in the face of repression and intimidation, and will never back
down so long as Gaza is under attack. That’s why on April 5th we are
standing up to Trump and his ethnic cleansing plan for Gaza, we are
standing up to repression, and we are standing up to the US’s
continued facilitation of the genocide in Gaza. We demand a permanent
ceasefire and an arms embargo now!
Please make an urgently needed donation today to help
make this demonstration and dozens of buses from across the country
possible.
