Even before COVID-19 was declared a pandemic, the World Health Organization (WHO) deemed it a “massive infodemic.” This proliferation of misinformation has led to the spread of conspiracy theories and hate. How will this impact the United States, the world, and the fate of our democracies? What will be the geopolitical implications of this pandemic? Jeffrey Goldberg, acclaimed journalist, Editor in Chief of The Atlantic, and friend of AJC, will be in conversation with Simone Rodan-Benzaquen, Director of AJC Europe, to answer these questions and more.

In 2019, several highly publicized attacks against Orthodox Jews awakened many non-Orthodox Jews to the reality of antisemitism in New York City. Meanwhile, programs like Unorthodox and Shtisel have sought to tell the stories of Haredi communities for a general audience, receiving both acclaim and criticism in the process. But Haredi Jews are more than the labels they are assigned: religious zealots on the one hand, or victims to be pitied on the other. This Remote ACCESS session will seek to unpack how young Jewish advocates can build bridges with the Haredi community, not only showing up during upticks of antisemitism, but engaging in regular, mutually beneficial dialogue. Join Adina Sash, activist and social media influencer FlatbushGirl, in conversation with Allie Lipner Rosenblum, AJC Associate Director of Development Operations.
