Did you catch me on Jimmy Kimmel last night, John?

It was great to see Jimmy again, laugh together, and more important, talk about how I think Democrats can best respond to the Trump administration’s chaos and go from here.

Before I share what I told Jimmy Kimmel, I have to ask: Can you pitch in to my campaign to help me keep up the fight for Californians and stand up to Donald Trump?

A lot of ink has been spilled recently about how Democrats can win again. Last year was tough for Dems across the country, and I have thoughts about how we can return to power:

“I think the path back to power for the Democratic Party is to show that we can get sh*t done again. It has to be our focus. We need to be able to build housing quickly and cost-effectively. We need to build more hospitals and schools. We need to make it clear that we’re the party of getting things done, and [the GOP] is the party of tearing things down.”

John, I’m going to be doing my part to get sh*t done.

I’m fighting for funding to rebuild and restore Southern California after the devastating fires.

I’m working to get us building a lot more housing quicker.

And I'm fighting back against Trump and Elon’s push to give tax cuts to billionaires off the backs of hard-working families struggling to make ends meet.

This work is important — but it can’t end here.

Democrats have to remind voters of how we’re delivering on our promises, while Donald Trump and Republicans fail to deliver on theirs.

Trump promised to lower costs on day one. Instead? His tariffs are driving up prices, his cuts are hurting average families, his layoffs are devastating people, and he has his sights set on slashing Medicaid. All while unelected billionaire Elon Musk controls the government along with all of the private data of our citizens.

That’s why I’ll continue to fight back and urge my Democratic colleagues to do the same.
