The last time Trump was in office, 11 Southeast Alaska Native tribal
communities opposed his reckless push to strip protections from the
Tongass.^2 This time around, he’s overruling them again and trampling
Indigenous sovereignty to sell out our future for corporate greed. 

The Tongass is more than just a forest, John, it’s a lifeline.
Its 1,000-year-old trees help make it a critical carbon sink that pulls
pollution from our atmosphere to fight the climate crisis. 

John, over 5,500 activists like you have sent a letter to their
legislators demanding they save the Tongass from Trump and logging
lobbyists. But, we’re running out of time to save the Tongass from
loggers’ chainsaws.
