Earlier this week we held our Medicare for All Virtual House Party in coordination with in-person House Parties hosted by volunteers in their communities, and it was a huge success!
Over one hundred people from around the country came together to build power for Medicare for All as we gear up for the bill’s reintroduction in Congress – which we just learned will be happening on April 29th!
We also discussed the urgent threat of the GOP’s proposed Medicaid cuts and how we can fight back even as we keep up the momentum for Medicare for All. We heard from our very own president of National Nurses United and the New York State Nurses Association, Nancy Hagans, RN, about how we can unite and meet this critical moment for health care in our country.
People in districts across the United States have already stepped up to help coordinate legislative visits with their members of Congress to discuss saving Medicaid and winning Medicare for All. If you’re interested in coordinating a meeting with your member of Congress, sign up here!
We also took action together by making calls to our members of Congress urging them to oppose cuts to Medicaid. If you want to get involved and take more actions like this, join our Rapid Response Team →
Thanks to everyone who came out to our Virtual House Party or any of the in-person events. Together, we’re growing the strength of the Medicare for All movement while defending the tens of millions of people who currently rely on Medicaid.
In solidarity,
Nurses' Campaign to Win Medicare for All
