"Delaware’s federal delegation holds “Save Medicaid” rally amidst potential federal cuts"

This week, I joined my colleagues from our Delaware delegation to rally against the proposed Medicaid cuts that would devastate families across our state. Doctors, advocates, and real Delawareans who rely on Medicaid came together to speak out.

Medicaid is a lifeline for Delawareans at every stage of life. From newborns whose parents depend on Medicaid for their birth to seniors who rely on it to live with dignity in assisted living, Medicaid is essential. Republicans in Congress want to cut $880 billion from this critical program — putting one in four Delawareans at risk of losing their healthcare.

There is nothing more unkind, more immoral, or more reckless than slashing Medicaid funding to pay for more tax cuts for billionaires. Yet that’s exactly what Republicans in Congress are pushing right now, all while fully ignoring their constituents.
