Serving as Chair has been the honor of a lifetime. Now, let’s keep Virginia blue.
Friend,
When I took on the role of chair of the Democratic Party of Virginia, I did so with a deep love for this Commonwealth and an unshakeable belief in the power of people coming together to build a better future. Now, as I prepare to step away from this role, I find myself reflecting on all that we have fought for, all we have accomplished, and all the work that still lies ahead.
Virginia Democrats have never backed down from a challenge. We have defended our rights, expanding opportunities, and stood against extremism every time it rears its head. And that is only because we’ve done it together.
I leave this role with immense gratitude — for the candidates who have stepped forward to lead, the organizers and volunteers who have poured their hearts into the fight for Virginia, but especially for supporters like you who have never lost faith in what’s possible.
Because of you, Virginia remains a beacon of progress and hope in the South. But as we look ahead to the battles still to come — defending our Democratic strongholds, winning the Governor’s race in November, and ensuring that Virginia remains a firewall against the threat of MAGA extremism — I know that our party must be stronger than ever.
