Our opponent, Josh Gottheimer, has a 6 million dollar "war chest" because he's been raking in money from corporate PACs and big donors. But I'm doing things a different way. I'm not taking corporate PAC money, and I'm not taking donations from the fossil fuel industry. Instead, I'm counting on grassroots donations to help me become the next representative in Congress for NJ-05.

When I started exploring this campaign, I reached out to some folks with experience in congressional campaigns. They told me I needed to raise a whole lot of money by the end of the summer to be taken seriously. I'll be honest: that was intimidating. But I gulped and vowed to make it happen - the right way.
