A federal judge ordered Trump to reinstate thousands of fired federal workers.
John, we’re thrilled to share that in a key victory earlier this week, a federal court ordered the Trump administration to rehire thousands of federal workers it mass-fired:
This is a huge victory that underscores the importance of judges who will follow the Constitution, not Trump’s MAGA agenda.
So far, courts have at least temporarily stopped this far-right administration from firing these workers, as well as:
- Revoking birthright citizenship guaranteed in the 14th Amendment;
- Freezing trillions of dollars in federal funding for crucial services that people depend on;
- Cutting funding from the National Institutes of Health, which conducts life-saving medical research;
- Suspending all refugees from entering the United States;
- Giving Americans’ sensitive student loan and Treasury Department data to Musk’s DOGE;
- Withholding grants and firing civil servants dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion;
- Incarcerating transgender women in men’s prisons and banning gender-affirming health care for young people;
- Using the Alien Enemies Act of 1789 to deport immigrants.
But Trump and Musk have seen some wins in court. What’s worse? They’re attacking judges and in some cases completely ignoring their orders, claiming they’re illegitimate.
While this administration attacks the authority of the judiciary, Trump will announce new far-right judicial nominees any day now to further stack the courts with those who will do his bidding — we must fight back.
