As a father of two young children, I know firsthand the critical importance of early childhood education. It lays the foundation for lifelong success, but too many families struggle to afford it. Your CT Democrats are leading the charge to make preschool more accessible and affordable.
House Bill 6867 will establish a $300 million Universal Preschool Endowment for families earning up to $100,000 annually, making it the largest expansion of preschool access in our state’s history.
Right now, Connecticut families spend an average of $15,000 a year on preschool , more than in-state college tuition. That cost is unsustainable for many working families. This bill will change that, helping thousands of children get the high-quality early education they deserve.
