While Republicans across the country continue to hide from their constituents, I’m giving Minnesotans a voice on how the Trump administration is impacting their ability to afford their lives and live with safety, dignity, and respect.
Last night, I hosted four other Attorneys General at a Community Impact Hearing at North Saint Paul High School. More than 1,200 people showed up to listen and share their stories.
As Attorneys General, it is our job to stand up for the Constitution when people try to run roughshod over it, especially when people are being harmed. That is exactly what this administration is doing. So, we’re fighting back.
Let me be clear: The lawsuits we’ve filed against the Trump administration –– to defend the Department of Education to protect Minnesotans’ rights to stop health care discrimination and more – are not about partisanship. They’re about the rule of law.
Donald Trump is not a king, and we cannot let him govern like one. As the People’s Lawyer, it’s my responsibility to lead this fight. And I’m hoping you’ll stand with me today to help us hold the line.
