Republicans have gotten away with too much in Michigan.

For too long, they’ve run uncontested in local elections, holding seats unopposed and making decisions that hurt working families without fear of accountability.

That ends now.

The Michigan Democratic Party just launched a statewide campaign to recruit and train candidates for over 700 local offices. We refuse to let even one Republican go unchallenged because when we don’t fight, Republicans automatically win.

These local office positions shape our schools, roads, and communities, and right now, too many are being handed to the GOP without a fight.

But here’s the truth: If we want to build a strong Democratic bench, we have to invest early to make sure we have the resources to get the job done.
