📣 A note of solace from Humanium’s co-founder Arndt Soret!
"We all find ourselves, today, living through an extraordinary situation which is caused by the Coronavirus. Although we must not touch it physically, we are all touched by it emotionally throughout the world. As people, we have a deep need for human connection, however, making such connections is harder than ever in times like these. We are, perhaps, falling back into ourselves and meeting ourselves for who we really are. Is this moment a chance for insight? Maybe so. We face challenges and novelty every day, and we yearn to discuss this with our loved ones. We long to have our wishes and our dreams fulfilled. Each one of us is made up of our own unique life experiences, our own challenges and our own desires. Now is a time for tranquility, though. Now is a time to come face to face with these unique aspects of ourselves more conscientiously than ever before. It is a time to dive deep within ourselves - and to experience our feelings of being - to feel this exact moment, to feel our very presence. The poet Tennyson wrote, "I am a part of all that I have met; Yet all experience is an arch wherethro' Gleams that untravell'd world whose margin fades, For ever and forever when I move". Although we cannot physically move a lot for now, all of us can embark upon emotional journeys as we go forwards, separately but together, into the awaiting and untravelled world ahead."
