Dear Friends,

This week, I held my event, A Conversation with Robin, to hear directly from my constituents, including veterans, hospital workers, letter couriers, and concerned citizens. Over a hundred people braved the storms Wednesday night to ask questions and make sure their voices were heard. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend.

If you weren't able to make it to this conversation, don't worry. I'm traveling throughout the state to meet with people where they are and hear what they have to say.

A Conversation with Robin

On Wednesday, I held my first — but not last — in-person listening session at Prairie State about the pressing issues facing our country today. It’s clear that families are concerned about the state of their healthcare, public education, housing, Social Security, and our country's democracy.

I want to assure you that I'm listening and working hard every day to address these problems. We're currently fighting against the Trump administration's unconstitutional actions in the courts, and winning.

We must continue to hold every elected official accountable to stand up for the American people.

Medicaid Day of Action

House Republicans passed a budget to cut $880 billion from Medicaid to give a tax break to billionaires.

Under these Medicaid cuts, Roseland Community Hospital would be forced to consider layoffs, service line cuts, and even closure. Their patients, along with over 300,000 individuals in the Second District, are at risk of losing their healthcare coverage.

I held a press conference at the hospital to stand with those who will be most affected by Medicaid cuts, including Ikeya, a medical assistant whose son depends on Medicaid.

People will suffer under Republicans' destructive cuts to Medicaid.
