If you thought that our current GOP anti-abortion Governor is bad, then I have bad news about the Republican field heading into the primaries this year.

From Winsome Earle-Sears, who just “couldn’t resist” voting against protecting access to contraception to Amanda Chase, aka “Trump in heels,” and multiple candidates wanting to create a “Virginia DOGE” 🤮, it's undoubtedly going to be a long election cycle.

Every single one of these candidates is a threat to our work to enshrine abortion access and even to protect access to contraception. Plus, with EVERY SINGLE House seat on the ballot this year, we are going to need your help as soon as possible to elect pro-choice candidates up and down the ballot.

We cannot afford to wait until the fall to ramp up our efforts. Will you pitch in $25 or whatever you can today and help us rush support to the campaigns of progressive, pro-choice candidates? ([link removed])

----------- Forwarded message ---------

Team,

There is a growing field of candidates vying to win the Republican primary for VA Governor this year, and we wanted to give you an update on who has thrown their hat in the ring:

❌ Virginia state Senator Amanda Chase, who has self-described herself as “Trump in Heels” – no, we did not make that up. According to the Washington Post, she has vowed to recreate a “Virginia DOGE” in honor of the chaos and destruction that billionaire Elon Musk is inflicting on our federal government and nation.

❌ MAGA Extremist Dave LaRock, who is also a fan of Elon’s DOGE (we’re sensing a theme here), has made the unhinged statement that “Virginia is under attack” by “woke extremists.”

Heard enough? Help us support progressive, pro-choice candidates running for office in Virginia by rushing $25 or more now → ([link removed])

❌ Merle Rutledge, who is supposedly the CEO of the Republican Wolf Pack of Virginia, described on their Facebook page as being a “battle group to deal with liberals,” is also a “freelance investigative reporter” (according to his campaign website) and touts an “America First” campaign policy that includes “economic nationalism” and “immigration restriction.”

❌ Winsome Earle-Sears, whose campaign motto is “Don’t Maryland my Virginia,” has stated that she “couldn’t resist” voting against the right of the people of Virginia to access BIRTH CONTROL. Additionally, she supports enacting a Texas-style abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest and has said that she would do everything in her power to END abortion in Virginia. (For the record, she also opposes IVF.)

Needless to say, every one of these extremists is anti-abortion. They will all do everything they can to strip away our rights and bow down to wannabe king Trump and his henchman Elon. But we have a chance to stop them once and for all by electing a progressive candidate who will enshrine abortion in the state constitution. Help us prepare for this massive fight ahead by rushing $25 or more today → ([link removed])
