Fellow activist,

We are sounding the alarm: Another bill has been introduced in the Pennsylvania House to make it more difficult to vote:

House Bill 771, which was introduced by Republican Representative Thomas Mehaffie (HD 106), would amend the PA Election Code to put in place new voter ID requirements.

To be clear, Pennsylvania's elections have been proven safe and secure for many years, yet some state lawmakers insist on making voting less and less convenient by imposing new, unnecessary voter ID provisions. Pennsylvania's current voter ID law is more than adequate to protect elections; new requirements won't do anything to improve that and will disenfranchise voters.

This is just another example of how GOP leaders in PA are working to strip away voting rights from eligible voters. As a voting rights organization, we are vehemently opposed to making it more difficult for voters to make their voices heard.
