Wyoming Passes Age-Verification Law For Obscene Material

Wyoming’s governor has signed HB 43, requiring all websites hosting “material harmful to minors” to verify users’ ages. Unlike other laws, it defines harmful material as obscene content or child pornography—both already illegal. The law allows parents to sue for $5,000 per violation. It takes effect *July 1, 2025*.
