Poor mental health during childhood is not only debilitating in the moment but also casts a long shadow into the future. The trauma and stress experienced by children can have far-reaching consequences, affecting their friendships, academic performance, and overall quality of life.
Addressing mental health issues early and providing robust support systems can mitigate these long-term impacts, helping young people build a foundation for a healthier, more stable future.
This webinar will be valuable for anyone working in national or local government, early years, education, and youth services, health and social care for children and young people, and the voluntary sector. It will set out a case for action and provide valuable insights to inform strategies, policies and spending decisions.
The webinar will be chaired by Kadra Abdinasir, Associate Director of Policy at Centre for Mental Health. Speakers include: Dr David Woodhead, Associate Director of Research at Centre for Mental Health; a representative of the Young Changemakers; and more to be announced soon.
