I was proud to host my 121st Town Hall this past weekend in front of a packed San Juan Capistrano crowd.
 
I’m energized by the amount of thoughtful questions and feedback I received, and it made one thing clear:

We must fight back against MAGA extremism.

This administration is hoping that we will become numb to the avalanche of disturbing breaking news – illegally firing thousands of federal workers, threatening Social Security, subverting Congress.

Believe me: I am just as fed up as you are.

That’s why I’m not sitting on the sidelines. It’s critical that we speak up and denounce what’s happening to our democracy. I’m breaking out my chalkboard to call out the Destruction of Government by Elon (DOGE).

  Meeting with local labor leaders in my Carlsbad office.   In Washington, I’m leveraging my position on the House Appropriations Committee and Democrats’ Litigation Response Task Force to push back on these rash funding decisions.

All of that to say, I’m using every platform I can to fight back against the Trump-Musk administration’s recklessness. But in order to create real oversight, Democrats must take control of the majority next year.
